  • If possessing a standalone Master’s qualification, achieve a distinction or provide evidence of high performance leading to a distinction.
  • Hold a first-class UK undergraduate degree or its equivalent if having multiple standalone Master’s qualifications.
  • Establish contact with a supervisor at Imperial College London before applying.
  • Be a first-time participant, as the scheme is exclusive to new PhD applications.

Scholarship Duration and Reward
Each of the 50 available scholarships supports a 3.5-year study period, providing:

  • Full funding for tuition fees
  • A stipend of £25,150 (2024-25 rate) per annum for living expenses
  • A consumables fund of £2,000 per annum for the initial 3 years of study
  • Tailored opportunities and events facilitated by the Graduate School
  • Access to comprehensive postgraduate support, including resources for disabled and international students, and a diverse range of professional skills courses.
