Eligible Nationalities

  • Open to domestic and international students of all nationalities.

Eligibility Criteria

  1. Academic Achievement:
  • Achieve a minimum Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) of 99.90 or equivalent.
  1. Year 12 Completion:
  • Must have completed Year 12 in 2024 or 2023 (if taking a gap year).
  1. Citizenship or Residency:
  • Australian citizen or Australian Permanent Humanitarian Visa holder; or
  • Australian Permanent Resident, New Zealand Citizen, or international student who has completed or is completing Years 11 and 12 in Australia.
  1. Prior Studies:
  • Have not completed any tertiary study beyond Year 11-12 coursework (e.g., Enhanced Studies Program).
  1. QTAC Application:
  • Apply for a tertiary place through the Queensland Tertiary Admissions Centre (QTAC) with UQ listed as your first preference.
  1. Enrollment:
  • Intend to enroll full-time in a UQ undergraduate program in 2025 (or 2026 if deferring your place).

  • How to Apply:
  • Visit the UQ application portal to begin your application.
  • You will need your QTAC Application number to start the application.
  • Highlight your exceptional leadership and community involvement during Years 11 and 12 with compelling evidence of your contributions.
  • The application portal opens in August 2024 and closes in November 2024.
  • Additional Tips:
  • Be specific: Clearly outline the nature of your leadership roles and community service activities.
  • Quantify your impact: Whenever possible, use numbers or metrics to illustrate the scope of your achievements.
