The UCD Ad Astra Elite Sports Scholarships are designed to support outstanding student-athletes who excel both academically and in their chosen sports. This scholarship program provides a comprehensive support package to help students achieve their academic and athletic goals.

Eligibility Criteria
Prospective Students
- Academic Requirements:
- Must be graduating high school students beginning studies at UCD in September 2024.
- Strong academic record: 6 H1s in the Leaving Certificate, 4 A* at A-level, or equivalent International Baccalaureate score (contact UCD Admissions for equivalency).
- Athletic Achievements: Demonstrated exceptional achievements in their chosen sport.
Current UCD Students
- Academic Requirements:
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.68.
- Successful completion of 60 graded ECTS credits and fulfillment of program progression requirements.
- Nomination: Must be nominated by their respective UCD academic department based on academic excellence.
Application Procedure
Step 1: Submit Your Application
- Complete the online application form available on the UCD Ad Astra Academy website.
- Prepare a personal statement outlining your goals and aspirations.
- Detail your sporting achievements in a dedicated statement.
- Provide supporting documentation for your academic and athletic accomplishments.
Step 2: Shortlisting and Interviews
- Applications are evaluated based on academic merit and the strength of your statements.
- Shortlisted candidates will be invited to participate in an interview.
Step 3: Scholarship Offers
- Up to sixteen exceptional candidates will be awarded scholarships.
- Successful applicants must accept a UCD course offer and agree to the scholarship terms and conditions.
