Eligibility Criteria:
- Applicants must identify as belonging to one of the following ethnic groups:
- Black African
- Black Caribbean
- Black Other
- Mixed – White and Black Caribbean
- Mixed – White and Black African
- Other mixed backgrounds including Black African, Black Caribbean, or Black Other.
- Must be classified as ‘Home’ for tuition fee purposes.
- Not currently enrolled in a PhD program at the University of Birmingham.
- Applying to one of the twelve eligible PhD projects offered under this scheme.

- Familiarize yourself with the specific details of your chosen project and contact the lead PhD supervisor to discuss your suitability.
- Submit your application via the university’s online application portal, including:
