Requirements:
To be eligible for the Ontario Graduate Scholarship for International Students at the University of Toronto, applicants must meet the following conditions:
- International students studying or planning to study at the University of Toronto under a temporary resident visa (student study permit) are eligible for a specific number of OGS awards.
- Must be a Canadian citizen, Permanent Resident, or Protected Person under subsection 95(2) of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act (Canada) by the student deadline.
- Must be registered or intend to register in an eligible program on a full-time basis for the 2023-2024 academic year.
- Should not have exceeded the lifetime maximum of government-funded support or the maximum OGS/QEII support available for their current level of study.
- Must have achieved at least an A- (or equivalent) in each of the last two completed years of study or demonstrate an overall average of at least A- (or equivalent) if they have completed two or more years of graduate studies.
Scholarship Duration and Reward:
The OGS provides a value of $5,000 per session, totaling $10,000 for two consecutive sessions or $15,000 for three consecutive sessions. The duration and value of each OGS award will be determined by the awarding graduate unit and specified in the offer letter.
Application Process:
To apply for the scholarship, applicants must submit an OGS application through the U of T School of Graduate Studies centralized online application. Each graduate unit will have its own internal submission deadline. Before applying, carefully review the OGS Application Instructions provided.
Once the application is complete and submitted online, it will be reviewed and considered by the proposed graduate unit.
