The Arizona State University (ASU) is pleased to announce the opening of applications for the ASU Global Education Planning Scholarship 2023. This scholarship aims to support high-performing international students who wish to pursue eligible academic programs in the upcoming academic year.
ASU Global Education Planning Scholarships are designed to provide opportunities for first-generation college undergraduate students to participate in a Global Education program. By reducing the financial barrier that may hinder some students from considering this option, the scholarship enables them to be the first in their families to embark on a global education journey.

ASU Global Education Planning Scholarship | Details
Scholarship recipients will have the opportunity to explore their interests in Global Education and collaborate with GEO staff to plan their international experience. They will also be required to complete a follow-on project as part of their commitment. Additionally, scholarship recipients are encouraged to attend various GEO workshops and information sessions throughout their planning process.
Global Education programs are widely recognized as transformative experiences in a student’s personal development. ASU is committed to ensuring that first-generation college students have additional funding opportunities to turn this dream into a reality.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the ASU Global Education Planning Scholarship for International Students, applicants are expected to meet the following criteria:
- Must be a first-generation college student
- Must have completed the equivalent of two full-time semesters of ASU credit hours at the time of application (rising sophomore)
- Must have a minimum cumulative ASU GPA of 2.0 at the time of application
- Must demonstrate financial need and have a current FAFSA on file with ASU Financial Aid and Scholarship Services
- Must be in good standing with the Office of Student Rights and Responsibilities
- Must provide evidence of English language proficiency

Application Procedures
To apply for the ASU Global Education Planning Scholarship, applicants must submit their application online and upload all necessary documents through the online application portal.
